Annoyed With a Slowly Starting PC : Here’s the Solution
Morning shows the day. Almost each one of us is familiar with this proverb. This very little sentence does verify a lot of facts faced by us in our day to day life. In this modern electronic world with the out bursting pressure of data getting strangled; PC starting to break the user’s patience is not a new thing anymore. Even with the most updated hardware people are found to be facing the age old problem of sluggish start up making their start of a fresh day annoying.
On stepping into your office, the very first thing that you usually tend to do is boot or start up your PC. Seldom, the reason behind this is not the excitement that instigates you to start working or you are to cross over a strict deadline, but simply because it consumes annoyingly more than a couple of minutes for your PC to get started. With a view to speed up the boot time, in operating systems of Windows arena like, for Windows Vista and XP, a few tips are put forward below that might just help you in getting a faster starting PC:
1. Keep your constant eye on which applications are running on your PC :
A major factor that leads to slow starting up is that, very often Windows automatically starts processes and programs as soon as you turn your PC on without any kind of notifications. If the number of programs running gets higher in number, then it becomes tougher to speed up the boot time in operating systems of Windows arena like, Windows Vista and XP. To get rid of such automatically kicked off programs just click on your start menu at left of your screen and then select Run, and type in “msconfig”. Once you hit the enter button, this will allow to access a window disbursing you the features of System Configuration Utility. If you click “Hide All Microsoft Services” located in the Services tab, this will display a few of the unwarranted applications that are in processing or running.
2. Use the Disk Defragmentation Utility:
This step is very much needed for your PC in order to fasten up the start up time. This particular action acts as a service to your computer’s regular maintenance as to check if your PC contains files that are in disarray and needs to get optimized.
3. Use quality Antivirus software:
Beware that your antivirus software is up to date and keeping an eye to all computer processes all day. Because always remember, spywares do contribute in slowing down your PC by a margin and a good anti virus or anti spyware helps to identify and kill such harmful processes.
So, in order to get a quick starting PC, try to follow the above mentioned little but very effective tips.
Western Digital Boosts Record Breaking Storage Medium
Posted by admin in Computer Hardware on March 28, 2009
Good news to all enterprise users, Western Digital has announced their latest massive network storage device. Called the ShareSpace NAS, Western Digital came up with a device which has a gigantic storage capacity of 8 Terabyte (TB).
Not just is the storage space increased, Western Digital has also improved the transfer speed of data in this device. Traditional speed would take hours to transfer a 8 Tb worth of data into this device, this the engineers of Western Digital innovated a DLNA media streaming capability in this device that transfers data to and fro this device and any computers with a data transmission speed 30% higher than normal ones.
Western Digital claims that their latest ShareSpace NAs is not only a compelling for small business organizations, it can also serve as a digital media enthusiasts ultimate storage device who can have unlimited contents to store and share.
ShareSpace NAS is an astounding piece of gadget squeezing mammoth sized space in a relatively small portabella PVC casing. Western Digital made this possible by indulging four flexible bays which allows to slot in four of 2 TB Western Digital Caviar Green hard drives, thus making up a maximum of 8 TB storage capacities.
Just storage device, how is it unique?
To people very surprise, the ShareSpace NAS is not just a storage device; it is also tuned into numerous capabilities.
Western Digital has included a small footprint 4 bay storage system that takes up a little space providing plenty of data storage space. It is also built in with GigE connectivity which transfers data in the rate off o1 GB per second when used in any GigE network. The disks in the device come with data protection and high speed data execution with the RAID 0/1/5 capabilities fitted in it.
This amazing device also works remotely. It has a built in e-mailing system. The device has self monitoring function in itself that detects and manages the drives and the system health, if any fluctuation in the system gets out of control, it readily sends an email to its owners and inform about specific problems.
The device is also fitted with iTunes server for centralized sharing of music. Microsoft Active Directory is service support is also seen in the device. The device is compatible with any computers with a plug USB drive in the front mounted USB 2.0 port along with a push button o automatically transfer the data to and fro the device. These makes the device truly user friendly to use. The device also has automatic and continuous network data transfer backup system including a lenience to back up three computers running simultaneously. This device is also fitted with Western Digital’s unique MioNet remote Web access service that lets the user’s aces to other drives anywhere in the world.
As mentioned earlier, this is a device of Western Digital’s GreenPower technologies. The system in this device is equipped with a self cooling architecture and power saving mode and consumes at least 30% low power than any other conventional devices and stay reliably cool and quiet.
Compared to the explosion of technologies its buyers will get while fetching this product, the purchase price is relative microscopically small. It is more than a technology, it is dream device anyone would like in their homes.
Google Launches Operating System for Your Desktop
What is the breaking news in the computer world is that Google is coming up with its own operating system by this year’s end. Though Microsoft has always been in the rush delivering something the world has never seen or used before, Google is trying to set a new record having its own contender for desktop operating system called the ANDROID.
The Google operating system was first found to be as a Linux based mobile phone operating system, but the fact is now this operating system will be running on your desktops, perhaps. Founders of start-up Mobile-facts Matthäus Krzykowski and Daniel Hartmann discovered last year that Android has two product policies fitted in its code. The policies are the instructions in an operating system aimed for specific users. The Androids two instructions are phone and MIDs (mobile internet devices). The MIDs are nothing but the netbooks what we use now.
However, the light beings to darken sometimes when we talk about just because the program says it do the job does not actually mean it will exactly create a difference. For example we all know how well vista ran on Vista Capable PCs, but now we know what the disaster Vista is.
But Matthäus Krzykowski and Daniel Hartmann made it very sure before they set out Android in the market. They had it checked very well in netbooks to see how stuffs go on. Amazingly after four hours, they have finally compiled Android is an Asus Eee PC and then they reported that the net book was running good and was fully up. They say they have got all the necessary hardware’s running good like the graphics, sound and wireless card for internet. Android get the desktop running in full speed.
Does Android need an Android Powered PC? Eventually Yes.
An interview with the Chief of Asus Eee PC Samson Hu said that Asus has assigned its engineers to develop an Android Based PC by the year end. But the major drawback is that the Asus chief has not yet decided weather to ship such a product. In this current economy, it is very doubtful to expect any company to waste money in engineering projects without shipping the products. Most say Android makes sense for Asus, but Android just shows willingness to back a Linux maverick on Asus, that is not enough for the Asus chef to ship such a product globally.
As per applications, a wide array of open source software will be available, already that some of the Google products that include Chrome Web Browser and al the Goggles web based application are running on high demand. You can bet that these applications are going to work best in the Android operating system.
If Android hits the market, it would not be just Asus alone adopting it. Most say Android would be much cheaper and more profitable, thus it will be running successfully all over if it successfully meets peoples demands. The coming December will be a time world will be experiencing a difference. Not just Asus selling Android based netbooks, but at least a number of brands adopting Android. The business has to be smart and that Android needs to make smart moves to make a difference.

The omnipresent device has earned its popularity die to its exceptional capability of massive storage in just a capsule sized shell. Pen drives were first equipped wit storage capacities of 512 MB to 1GB, but modern pen drives come up with gigantic storage capabilities from 32 GB to 80 GB, in just a plastic shell that is smaller than the size of your thumb.
Technology experts are yet renovating their formulas to create spaces in Terabytes (hundreds more than 1024 GB of space).
# Compatibility
Pen drive users found a great problem with compatibility options in their device. But recent pen drives are highly encrypted to suit and work best in almost all the operating systems available on the market.
