Good news to all enterprise users, Western Digital has announced their latest massive network storage device. Called the ShareSpace NAS, Western Digital came up with a device which has a gigantic storage capacity of 8 Terabyte (TB).

Not just is the storage space increased, Western Digital has also improved the transfer speed of data in this device. Traditional speed would take hours to transfer a 8 Tb worth of data into this device, this the engineers of Western Digital innovated  a DLNA media streaming capability in this device that transfers data to and fro this device and any computers with a data transmission speed 30% higher than normal ones.

Western Digital claims that their latest ShareSpace NAs is not only a compelling for small business organizations, it can also serve as a digital media enthusiasts ultimate storage device who can have unlimited contents to store and share.

ShareSpace NAS is an astounding piece of gadget squeezing mammoth sized space in a relatively small portabella PVC casing. Western Digital made this possible by indulging four flexible bays which allows to slot in four of 2 TB Western Digital Caviar Green hard drives, thus making up a maximum of 8 TB storage capacities.

Just storage device, how is it unique?
To people very surprise, the ShareSpace NAS is not just a storage device; it is also tuned into numerous capabilities.

Western Digital has included a small footprint 4 bay storage system that takes up a little space providing plenty of data storage space. It is also built in with GigE connectivity which transfers data in the rate off o1 GB per second when used in any GigE network. The disks in the device come with data protection and high speed data execution with the RAID  0/1/5 capabilities fitted in it.

This amazing device also works remotely. It has a built in e-mailing system. The device has self monitoring function in itself that detects and manages the drives and the system health, if any fluctuation in the system gets out of control, it readily sends an email to its owners and inform about specific problems.
